“Last spring, I came home from work to a horrific scene.  My basement was flooding with water!  My sump pit was already submerged and the water was slowly reaching to the finished area of my basement.  I did not know what to do except turn off the water main.  The water kept rushing in, with such force, while trying to cap the free standing pipe for the washing machine, pipes actually broke.  Unfortunately, the sewer had backed up, and thus my nightmare began.  My basement was flooded with sewer water.

“Our family had a garage fire which resulted in reconstruction of our garage, kitchen and roof, along with refinishing walls and floors throughout the house.  Above Board Construction was responsible for this reconstruction working with our insurance adjuster and us.  The team worked and communicated every step along the way to meet budget restraints, seek insurance approvals and meet target dates, theirs and ours.  We had many decisions to make very quickly and many questions, all of which were answered timely, honestly and realistically.  There was so much to be coordinated between the exterior and interior with some challenges due to the age of our home and a few unique characteristics.  During the reconstruction I would typically visit the house both before and after work and found all of the various crew members to be polite, respectful and able to discuss whatever questions I had.   I felt the communication was strong and that we stayed on the same page with what needed to be done both within the confines of what insurance would cover as well as with some upgrades we requested.  While there were hiccups along the way, our family was very pleased with the workmanship and the end result.  Thanks ABC!”
